Placement Exam Information

Placement exams are an essential part of the Winter Orientation process.  Freshman and Transfer students alike must take these exams to ensure proper placements into their academic classes.

All new students are required to take the University’s English Composition placement exam regardless of previous course work. The exam should be completed prior to attending orientation but no later than the first six weeks of your first semester.

The Mathematics placement exam is required if you are an incoming freshman or a transfer student not transferring a Calculus I or higher equivalent course with an earned grade of a C or better. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the English Composition and the Mathematics placement exam results.
