Visiting campus is the best way to explore what we offer you! The Office of Admissions and Orientation offers multiple visit options - choose the one that best fits your schedule.
Campus Visits
- Go Blue Friday
A special all-inclusive visit for incoming freshman students...
- Transfer Advantage
Designed especially for transfer students...
- Daily Campus Tours
Forty-five minute walking tours, given by students, are available Monday through Thursday (and Saturday) at 11:30am, and on Friday at 3:30pm. Appointments scheduled in advance are strongly recommended.
- Individual Appointments
If you prefer a one-on-one meeting with an admission counselor, appointments are available Monday through Saturday.
- Group Visits
Group visits (10 or more students) can be arranged to include an Admissions informational session and a 45-minute walking tour led by current students. Other campus offices are available to provide information by request. Please request a group visit at least two weeks in advance. Call for a reservation or fax a request form.

Annual Events
- Transitions College Preparation Workshop
June 23, 2009
This workshop is designed specifically for sophomores and juniors (and parents) to jump start the college search process.
- Operation Adventure
Operation Adventure will no longer be offered for 2009. Students wishing to visit the campus may attend Go Blue Friday or other annual events.
- Fall Open House

Open House is an excellent opportunity for students and families to explore campus and learn what UM-Dearborn is all about!
- Engineering and Computer Science Career Night

Learn about careers that a Michigan degree in engineering or computer science can offer you.
- Symposium on Student Leadership

Interested in becoming a better leader? Develop your values and research skills, craft an effective resume, and learn how to set goals and prioritize during this informative day.
- Engineering/Computer Science Experience and contest for high school students
March, 2010
At the fourth annual Engineering/Computer Science Experience, students may participate in one of three contests: engineering, computer programming, or web design (as part of a two-person team) to compete for prizes.
- Maize and Blue Day
April, 2010
Maize and Blue Day is the University's Spring Open House for High School Sophomores and Juniors.
- Pre-Med Info Night
April, 2010
Pre-Med info night will give students the inside scoop on applying and getting into Medical School.
