Admissions events focus on units

DEARBORN---The University of Michigan-Dearborn will host four special events this month for potential students, who will have the opportunity to receive information about the university's various degree programs.

Potential students can learn more about careers in engineering or computer science during "Career Night 2005" from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9 in the campus's Social Sciences Building. Participants can meet with professionals, faculty and students to learn about the latest trends and developments that will shape the future of the engineering and computer science fields.

On Monday, Nov. 14, potential students can learn more about UM-Dearborn's School of Management during "Exploring Your Future in Management" from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Fairlane Center South Building, located off of Hubbard Drive. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with industry leaders and UM-Dearborn faculty and students to discuss business fields from accounting to planning.

Potential students interested in careers in medicine, law, science, communications or business can learn more about UM-Dearborn's liberal arts degrees during the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters' "Career Night 2005" from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15 in the campus's Social Sciences Building.

The final event, "Education in Action," will explore opportunities in the School of Education from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29 in the Fairlane Center South Building, located off of Hubbard Drive. Potential students will be able to meet with faculty and students, attend a college class, and talk to alumni to learn about careers in teaching from early childhood to high school.
