Research featured at Technology Day

DEARBORN---Research projects that have been conducted by faculty members along with industry partners will be highlighted at Technology Day 2003 from 8:30 a.m. to noon June 4 in the Engineering Complex and Engineering Laboratory Building.

The program is sponsored by the campus's Center for Engineering Education and Practice.

This year's theme is "Academia and Government Working with Industry to Solve Problems for Industry and Society."

Dick Ziegler, director of the transportation program for Oak Ridge National Laboratory, will speak about the challenges facing the U.S. automotive industry and society's needs for energy conservation and ecologically sound products.

A poster session will showcase the collaborative projects of faculty and industry partners, and live demonstrations will take place in the laboratories on the first floor of the Engineering Complex.

Dozens of collaborating companies and corporate sponsors including automotive OEMs, automotive suppliers and non-automotive companies are participating in the event.
