Child Development Center to host singing twins
Development Center (CDC) at the University of Michigan-Dearborn will
host an hour-long concert for children by the musical duo "Gemini"
at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 2 in Lecture Hall B of the campus's Social
Sciences Building (formerly School of Management Building).
The show, which is sponsored by the UM-Dearborn Office
of the Provost, will kick off the Center's Month of the Young Child
The concert is free and open to the public, though attendees may donate
new toddler sleepers (0-24 months) at the door. Donations will be given
to Child's Hope, a child abuse
Vendor tables and refreshments will be available an hour before the concert.
Gemini is made up of twin brothers Sandor and Laszlo Slomovits. They've
been playing music together for 31 years. The duo performs a family concert
containing sing-alongs, hand-motion tunes, folk tales and tunes from around
Based in Ann Arbor, Gemini has performed at concert halls, festivals,
community centers and elementary schools throughout the United States
and Canada. They also have performed with symphony orchestras, including
the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Kansas City Symphony.
