UM-Dearborn professor to chair "e-conference"
on hybrid-electric vehicles
University of Michigan-Dearborn engineering Prof.
Chris Mi will present an "e-conference" on hybrid-electric
vehicles for members of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25. The "e-conference"
format will allow groups to participate in the seminar from remote

Child Development Center expects grant for at-risk

The Child Development Center (CDC) on the campus
of the University of Michigan-Dearborn is likely to receive a $39,600
grant from the Michigan Department of Education's Michigan School

Masco Corporation named 'Employer of the Year'
by the Michigan Council for Cooperative Education, in recognition
for long-term support for internships for UM-Dearborn students
Taylor-based Masco Corporation has been named Employer
of the Year by the Michigan Council for Cooperative Education in
recognition for their long-term support for internship programs
at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. The award was accepted by
Jerry Mollien, Masco's vice president of corporate tax, at a meeting
