Environmental Interpretive Center gets 'romance' bug
Interpretive Center at the University of Michigan-Dearborn will host
"An Evening of Lights, Music and 'Romance,' Naturally!" from
8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, July 30.
The program, which is free and open to the public, will explore insect "romance," including courtship chirps, rasps and drumbeats from crickets, katydids and cicadas amidst the soft lighting of fireflies. Participants will learn how and why these creatures produce the sights and sounds of evening summer symphonies.
