Early Learning and Child Development Center
at UM-Dearborn will host kindergarten open house
The Early Learning and Child Development Center at
the University of Michigan-Dearborn will host a kindergarten open
house from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19 in the kindergarten
module located south of UM-Dearborn's Student Services Building,
reached via the campus's Fair Lane Drive west of Evergreen Road.

Susan Douglas, Catherine Neafie Kellogg Professor
of Communication Studies at the University of Michigan, will present
"Growing Up Female with the Mass Media" from 1:30 p.m.

Disadvantaged women to learn about college
"Women on the Move-College is an Option!,"
a program that introduces the University of Michigan-Dearborn to
socially and economically disadvantaged women receiving services
through area non-profit agencies, has expanded into a two-day event
to accommodate the demand of women interested in pursuing a post-secondary

Community service activities will mark
King holiday
Volunteers from the University of Michigan-Dearborn
and the surrounding community will spend Monday, Jan. 20 helping
others on the tenth annual Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service
Day, which commemorates the achievements of the late civil rights
