Campus Open House is Sept. 21

DEARBORN---The University of Michigan-Dearborn will roll out a welcome mat to the community during its annual Campus Open House from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21.

Prospective students, along with family and friends, will have an opportunity to meet with faculty, staff, students and alumni. Members of the campus community will provide information on undergraduate and graduate programs, admissions procedures, financial aid, and co-op and internship opportunities.

The event will offer lab demonstrations, refreshments, and walking tours of campus and an opportunity to explore the historic Henry Ford Estate. Representatives of UM-Dearborn student organizations will answer questions about campus activities.

"Open House presents the perfect opportunity for prospective students and their parents to explore our academic programs and learn what the University is all about," according to David Placey, director of admissions and orientation at UM-Dearborn.

The College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters Building will serve as the registration site and house the departments of admissions and financial aid during the event. Representatives from other campus departments will showcase their services at the event during a Browsing Fair in the Field House.

UM-Dearborn offers undergraduate and professional degrees in the liberal arts and sciences, engineering, management, education and public administration.
