MINUTES
Members Present: Rachel Buzzeo, Cindy Kesckes, Sandie Post, Judy Walker, Michelle Barnes, Rima Berry-Hung, Monica Hetu, Sharon Lobdell, Sherry Boyd, Judy Wilson, Diane Sigler, Joanne Otlewski and Vera Kapulak
Members Absent: Paul Beteag, Linda Southward, Belinda Soliz, Laura Beer, Amy Kazanowski, and Marlene Pruitt
1. The meeting was call to order by the Election Committee chair, Judy Walker.
2. Elections:
Chair – Sandie Post nominated Sharon Lobdell – no other nominations
Vice-chair – Judy Wilson nominated Rima Berry-Hung – no other nominations
Secretary – Sharon Lobdell nominated Judy Wilson – no other nominations
Council –
Vera Kapulak - Business Affairs
Sandie Post – CASL
Judy Walker – EMSL
Rachel Buzzeo – CASL
3.Announcements:
3.1 Sharon announced that Belinda Soliz has resigned. Since it’s the beginning of the year and Belinda’s term expires on 12-08, it was agreed that we should have an election to fill the spot, but would look at the last election to see who was interested.
4. Items for Discussions:
4.1 The Staff Bizarre for February 28, 2008 was discussed briefly. It was agreed that the Chair would call Bob Behrens and let him know what we plan to do to see if there’s any University rules that we should be complying with.
4.2. It was suggested that the Chair send an email to campus asking for volunteers for the various committees. The Chair asked the Secretary to send her the committee information from the Retreat.
