Program for Academic Support
The purpose of the Program for Academic Support
is to help students get off to a good start at the University of
Michigan-Dearborn. PAS provides academic support as well as personal
support and guidance. This support helps students to make the important
and sometimes difficult transition from high school to college
successfully.
Many students apply to the University of Michigan-Dearborn, some
of whom who may not meet all of the standard qualifications for
acceptance. These students are admitted to the University of Michigan-Dearborn
through the Program for Academic Support. PAS is designed primarily
for these students, students whose records show strong signs of
college ability. The Program for Academic Support encourages, supports
and assists students in successfully pursuing a four-year college
education.
The Tutoring Center is located within the Academic Support & Outreach
Services. The Tutoring Center offers individual and small group
tutoring in specific courses. These services are offered to all
students who wish to improve their academic efficiency.
