CHANCELLOR'S MEDALLION AWARD

The Chancellor's Medallion is awarded to five UM-Dearborn graduates, selected across all academic units, and is presented at the Commencement Exercise. The students are selected by the faculty based on their academic record, quality of character, vitality, intellect, and integrity. The December awardees are selected from students who were graduated in August and those who are to be graduated in December. The April/May awardees are selected from students who are to be graduated in April/May. This distinction is noted on the student’s transcript as Distinguished Scholar.

GRADUATES WITH DISTINCTION

Students who graduate and have obtained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 but less than 3.6 are recommended for graduation “With Distinction”. This distinction is noted on transcripts and diplomas as With Distinction.

GRADUATES WITH HIGH DISTINCTION

Students who graduate and have obtained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.6 are recommended for graduation “With High Distinction”. This distinction is noted on transcripts and diplomas as With High Distinction.
