Overview
of Unit
This unit is
a study of biographies. After learning about a variety of biographies and
creating timelines on their subjects, the students were ready to sequence
some major events in their own lives. Focusing
on the steps of the writing process as well as the Language
Arts Curriculum Standards and the NETS
Standards for students, the students used technology to create
the pages in their timelines. Students were able to construct timelines
at their developmentally appropriate level. This unit focuses on an autobiographical
timeline made into a book for children in the first grade.
A

to show exactly what standards applied for each lesson. The lesson plans
can also be viewed by clicking on the appropriate lesson # as seen on the
template. An exhibit index lists all
the exhibits used in this unit.
