OPENER:

Pass out rubrics and go over them.Next, pass out laptops and assign the extra two to groups who need them the most.

PROCEDURE:

1.Workshop:creating presentations. Two students in each group will begin entering their slides from the sketches. On day 1, the Tech person for the group will be creating the title slide and the introduction.By the end of the hour, the presenter must show me that the title and introduction are done and have a list of every member who has entered slides and who still needs to finish. This is for credit.(At the beginning of the hour, write this on the board so everyone is clear. Also write on the board that they need to explain the connection between their topic and LOF somewhere in the paper and in the presentation (likely in the introduction and again in the conclusion). The paper compiler should be discussing with the group what the title page will look like (suggest inserting the image on the cover), and how it will be bound. The paper is due on the day they present but these are the last two class times to work on it.

2.Same thing on day 2, but I will emphasize that this is the last class time to compile the paper and enter the slides. They should practice the presentation and time themselves. The expectation is 5 minutes per person and at least 20 -25 minutes per group.

CLOSURE (and Evaluation of Student Progress):

Remind students of the schedule of presentations and due dates for papers.Evaluation will be based on the presentation and the paper.
