Hillside Middle School
My portfolio concentrates on integrating technology into a
multidisciplinary unit. Based on the sixth grade curriculum that was
covered during my student teaching experience at Hillside Middle School
I selected man made disasters vs. natural disasters as my unit
topic.The students and I used technology, math, science, social studies
and english to research, compare and contrast characteristics of
man made and natural disasters. The main focus of our unit was to
bring the sometimes abstract concept of The Holocaust, into reality
for our group of sixth grade students.
