Unit Lesson Plans:

I wanted all my students to benefit from my experiences with applying technology, therefore I did not focus on one specific unit, instead implementing technology where coherent with the topic of instruction for each  different class.

GEOMETRY ACTIVITIES

  • Rigid Transformations:  A Geometer Sketchpad activity designed to help students develop properties of Rigid Transformations.
  • Graphic Organizers:  The students created a web on Inspiration to be used as a study aid.
  • Power point Presentation:  The students created a Power point presentation of a section of the chapter as a review for the chapter test.
ALGEBRA ONE ACTIVITIES<>

  • Matrics:  The students used MS Excel to create a spreadsheet and incorporate the concept of matrices.
  • Scatter Plots and Trend Lines:  The students utilized Fathom to create scatterplots, discuss correlation, create trend lines, and make predictions.
  • Families of Functions:  A discovery lesson was utilized to help the distinguish between linear, quadratic, and absolute value functions.
  • Probability:  The students investigated basic probability through the used of internet web sites and java applets.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT CALCULUS
  • Related Rates Students used a Virtural discussion board to create and solve eachothers Related Rate problems.
  • Sketching Derivatives:  Geometer Sketchpad was used in a discovery lesson to aid the students in developing the skills and concepts needing to sketch or identify the graph of a derivative from a function.
