  • I have really enjoyed participating in the MITTEN project.  Over the semester the MITTEN project has helped me in becoming more comfortable in using technology.  It has also helped me to understand the importance of technology integration within the classroom.  Watching the students use technology that they have never used before was a great experience.  They became excited and comfortable using the technology that in the past I may have thought that they would not be able to use.
  • Participating in the MITTEN project has also made me realize that technology is becoming an enormous part of our society.  In order to prepare the children for the changing world they need to become familiar and comfortable with multiple types of technology most people use on a daily basis.  I have learned that the integration of technology is not very difficult as long as there is a lot of planning and organization.
  • If I were to teach this lesson again I think that I would set aside more time to work on the project.  The problem is that there are so many other standards and benchmarks that must be met that we had to fit in the project where we found time.  I would keep everything in order, and plan in advance.  I would also try and involve the parents with the project.  All of us had a really good time completing the project.  When I have a classroom of my own I am confident that I will continue to integrate technology as a support to the regular curriculum.
