For me, this class was always eerily quiet.  However, you were exorbitantly creative and did a superior job on just about every assignment you did.  Despite how sleepy you were, this class always did a fantastic job on homework and some of our best students came from this class.  Another great thing was that even though you were quiet, you were almost always positive.  Even students who were not performing as well as you could have had good attitudes.

There are a hundred little things I would like to remember about all of you, but I'm only going to mention a few that really stick out to me.  One of you described yourself as cynical and apathetic on the first day, but the truth is you were more witty and intelligent than either of the other qualities you used to describe yourself.   There were quite a few of you who had lots of musical interests and talents.  One of you used phrases for music I had never heard before.  I doubted you genuinely knew them but apparently you did.  I'm sorry if I offended you.  Another of you was thirsty every day and I could never understand why you did not get a drink of water on your way in.  There were several of you who were very quiet and I wish I could have gotten to know you better. Several of you were late or absent A LOT, but you were such nice students I could never hold a grudge.  One of you was into horses and several fellas' were into some newer bands.  There was a pair of you who bickered like brother and sister and claimed it was because you were neighbors.  You two were cute - reminding me of third graders with crushes.  One of you ate awful breakfasts.  I gave you a granola bar, but you don't seem to like them as much as chips and pop.   I remember two boys fighting over one of you.  If they are going to fight, neither of them are worth your time.  Another girl had a boyfriend with a cheating heart.  I really hope you move past him, you deserve more respect than that. I was very sad to hear that two of you are moving to other states.  I know for one of you it is not necessarily a happy move for everyone in your family, and I hope you think about it real hard before leaving.

Overall, this class was fun because getting to know you took a bit of work.  I was more appreciative when I did learn something about you because it was so hard to come by.  Some of my favorite moments with you came from after school events and the days you stayed late to work on projects.  Once you were awake you were such fun!   I only wish I had thought of a way to wake everyone up before class.  Perhaps the sleepiness is what made you so tolerant.  In that sense, I was fortunate to have this class because you were a wonderful safety net for meAs a student teacher I could try out lessons with you and you were very patient when things were not as smooth as I would have liked.  This class, above all, was very understanding and kind. There was a lot of mutual respect between us and I will always be grateful that I was able to work with you while I was student teaching. Thank you for everything!
