This child's small muscle development does not allow him to write within the given area.  He became frustrated because he was unable to record all of his thinking.  Notice that he did not finish the organizer.  I might have thought this child was unable to think clearly about the theme of this novel, since his work is not clear.  CLICK HERE to read the essay he wrote about the theme of the novel.

I always have trouble reading this child's work.  The pressure he puts on his pencil makes his writing very light and difficult to read.  An even larger problem is that this student often cannot read his own writing shortly after recording something on paper.  CLICK HERE to see how easy it is to read his work when he is able to use a computer.

Somehow this student missed all the cursive lessons on the similar letters a, c, d, g, o, and q.  The larger size and the mistakes in formation make it difficult for him to write swiftly.  He often writes the bare minimum out of frustration.  But his ideas shared in our conversations and discussions are original and thoughtful.  CLICK HERE to get an idea of some of those original thoughts.
