Introduction Overview  Narratives Exhibits Reflection

Over the course of this semester,  I spent a great deal of time learning the responsibilities of my new jobs (on-site student teaching supervision, leading seminar discussions, and academic advising).  As a result, I feel my use of technology this semester was limited to ways I was already familiar with (e-mail, Internet, and word processing).  Professionally, I am a little disappointed that I didn't try new applications with technology this term.  However, I feel I needed this time to become familiar with my new responsibilities before I could improve them.

With that said, I am glad to have the opportunity to participate in MITTEN again next term.  By implementing a monthly calendar for posting observations and using a discussion board, my skills and methods for instruction will grow.  I'm sure through the course of next semester I will find additional ways to incorporate technology into my instruction.

One of the things I enjoyed the most this term was being able to observe others' usage of technology with different age groups.  The projects implemented showed creativity, team work, and a commitment to education.  The MITTEN Program has helped build skills among upcoming teachers as well as with those who have been teaching for many years.  I am proud to be part of such a high quality project.
