My name is Elizabeth
Muylaert I am a student teacher from the University of Michigan Dearborn.
I am currently student teaching under Laura Harrison in a first grade classroom at Nowlin Elementary School in Dearborn, Michigan. Nowlin is home to about 300 students ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade. Nowlin has a computer lab containing 28 computers with internet access and a variety of other educational software. The classroom I am working in has two older Macs which are used for word processing and educational activities. Each teacher is responsible for teaching the districts mandated technology curriculum. Some of the teachers feel uncomfortable teaching computer skills. I have always enjoyed using computers and learning more about technlogy. This project has given me the chance to see how technolog can enhance students learning.
