Unit Overview PowerPoint Presentation-

This PowerPoint Presentation was created to present our unit to MITTEN.  It just gives a basic overview of the unit, and I spoke in more detail about each lesson.  The presentation served as a nice visual, so I thought it fit nicely in this section.

Daily Schedule-

Our 5th grade class is very busy, so we run by a strict schedule.  Our only time for computer lab was on Wednesday afternoons and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  This means that we had to develop more independent lessons that allowed for different levels of completion among students.

Mineral Groups for Webquest 2-

This is a chart that I developed to help me divide up the teams for the second web quest and assign minerals.  I found this was helpful to keep on hand because students would lose the sticky note with their mineral name that I attached to their paper.

Each of these exhibits are examples of Standard II because they show the pre-planning involved in this lesson.  This planning included fitting the technology into our daily schedule and making up additional resources to be used to teach the unit.  Our presentation also used our prior knowledge of technology to create, so it is representative of Standard I as well.
