Self evaluation
As  I became aware of the many choices for projects through the MITTEN workshops and showcases, I was able to find the right fit to our supervisory goals for student teachers. Through workshops and meetings, strategies to implement technology in my seminars became more apparent. I learned about software programs ((Frontpage, for example).  Meetings were helpful  especially when we could find and share new ideas that were simple enough to apply to our projects. Sharing with other supervisors went well, and provided me many opportunities to develop my own project.  My own technical skills improved over the course of the semester.

Among the new technology I integrated into the student teaching seminar are: FrontPage, e-mailed assignments and resources, Power Point, VLT (on line course site), search strategies,  digital photography and the e-portfolio.  I am now able to present more information to the student teachers, both in class and on line. The resources are always available for them to use as they see fit.  Assignments can now be emailed and immediate feedback of lesson plans, resumes and problem solving  can be provided more effectively. This is important because our student teaching seminar time is very limited.  Students can access files which can be easily incorporated into their lessons.  For example, a strategy in my Cooperative Learning Power Point, can be used as an overhead or incorporated into the student teacher's lesson . I  do not have to print up all the various strategies in my course file, since students can choose those which best fit their needs.

I learned that technology can provide additional sources of information for students and instructors. Once some expertise in using  technology is developed, one can better  communicate for additional technical support when needed.   Finally, I learned that we can interact more through technology, share ideas and knowledge. So with the more effective use of technology for student teaching seminars, supervisors can provide more forms of support for students. This support can be made available when they need it, even after the  semester is completed. I found that  teachers appreciate having the capacity to access resources on line at any time. I look forward to the integration of more technology, such as on -line journal articles and an calendar into my repertoire of strategies for successful student teaching. With more feedback on line from students and teachers, I look forward to greater success in meeting the needs of all of my  student  teachers. Through my own  increase in professional information power, I can facilitate greater use of the internet among my students.  I am surely enjoy taking a  "technological odyssey" in my search for instructional  strategies for the  new millennium.
