Inventions Invitational Tournament

Each of you will be assigned an invention/discovery from the period of the late 1800s to the early 1900s.  Your task is to research that invention in the LMC in order to answer the following questions:
1. Who invented it?
2. When was it invented (year)?
3. What impact did the invention have on life at the time it was invented?
4. What has been the long-term impact of the invention (how did/has it changed the   lives of people in the late twentieth century? Did it give rise to another   invention that has had a greater impact, etc.)?
Tomorrow we will discuss your findings and determine which invention/discovery has had the greatest impact on life in the U.S.  The person who gives the most convincing arguments will win the tournament and receive a prize.
