Learning Management System Analysis

The LMS market has made remarkable advancements in recent years, offering more flexible platforms, intergrated tools to support student success, improved uptimes and speed at peak demand times, and inter-operability with many other educational and social applications.

The Council of Deans supports a campus-wide analysis of learning management systems (LMS) to determine what these might offer for our students and faculty, and to assess if a single system might meet the needs of all four academic units.  Use of a common LMS across units would offer a more seamless experience for our students, increased flexiblility for faculty support, and economies in infrastructure investment.

The analysis will review three systems:

These platforms are integral supports to our teaching and learning mission and all students and faculty are encouraged to participate in demonstrations and testing of these systems.
