Staff Satisfaction Survey |
The Dearborn Campus Senior Leadership Team was looking for a way to analyze staff satisfaction levels. Discussion resulted with the Human Resources department developing a confidential survey that assesses staff perceptions of key satisfaction metrics, supervisor effectiveness, and the University organizational competencies.

The University of Michigan-Dearborn is committed to staff development and believes that the performance appraisal and planning process is an integral part of that development. This process is designed to improve job understanding, promote more effective job performance, and establish future goals for career growth.
The goal of the Performance Planning and Appraisal Program is to provide staff members with feedback on their performance and accomplishments for the previous year. This program is also designed to assist staff members in understanding their job responsibilities and supervisor's performance expectations.

FASAP – The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program is a confidential and professional resource for dealing with personal or work related issues.
WLRC - The Work/Life Resource Center exists to help the University of Michigan provide faculty and staff with an environment supportive of, and sensitive to, the healthy integration of work life and personal life. The WLRC can assist with: Locating child care, locating elder/dependent care, locating emergency back-up child care (Kids Kare at Home), balancing work and personal responsibilities, creating flexible work schedules, Expectant Parents’ Resource Program, and questions about maternity leaves.

MHealthy - Michigan Healthy Community is a campus-wide effort to encourage healthier living through increased activity, attention to physical safety in the workplace, and other health and wellness efforts.
Wellness Center - The University of Michigan-Dearborn’s own fitness center is free for faculty, staff, and students with a valid MCard. The center not only has a wide range of fitness equipment, they also offer classes, equipment orientations, fitness assessments, and tailored exercise programs (certain fees may apply).
