UM-Dearborn to host events as part of the "Fall into Dearborn" festival Oct. 3-5

DEARBORN / Oct. 1, 2008---The University of Michigan-Dearborn will host a community bike ride and health walk on Saturday, Oct. 4 as part of the “Fall into Dearborn” festival in downtown west Dearborn.
The bike ride, sponsored by Adventure Bikes of Dearborn and UM-Dearborn’s Student Government, will begin at 10 a.m. in front of the university’s Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC). Following the bike ride, a family health walk sponsored by the Student Government will take place at 11 a.m. at the EIC. Other activities will take place on the campus and at the Henry Ford Estate.
The Oct. 3-5 "Fall into Dearborn" festival, presented by the City of Dearborn, the Dearborn Community Arts Council and the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce, features arts and crafts, live music, a classic car show, historical and wildlife presentations, and family events. Most of the activities are centered in downtown west Dearborn.
Other activities will be at the Bryant Library, First United Methodist Church and the Dearborn Historical Museum. The Dearborn Area Board of Realtors will also host open houses of homes for sale throughout Dearborn on Sunday.
