Open house is an opportunity for parents to learn about the kindergarten program at UM-Dearborn's Child Development Center

DEARBORN / Jan. 16, 2008---The University of Michigan-Dearbornís Early Learning and Child Development Center (CDC) will host a Kindergarten open house from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7 in the Kindergarten module, reached via the campus's Fair Lane Drive west of Evergreen Road.

The open house is an opportunity for parents to learn about the kindergarten program. The UM-Dearborn center is one of a very few to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

At the open house, the CDC will be accepting applications for its 2008-2009 kindergarten program. Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by Dec. 1, 2008. The CDC kindergarten offers an individualized, active-learning program in a stimulating environment with an excellent teacher/child ratio. Full-day and half-day sessions are available.
