Writer and editor John McElroy of "Autoline Detroit" to speak at campus's annual engineering event

DEARBORN / May 11, 2006---Technology Day, an annual research review conducted by UM-Dearborn College of Engineering and Computer Science faculty members in collaboration with industry partners, will be held at the University of Michigan-Dearborn on June 7.
Writer and editor John McElroy, host of the television program “Autoline Detroit,” will speak about “The Future of the Automotive Industry” at the event.
Technology Day, which is open to invited guests, will take place in the campus’s Engineering Laboratory Building and Professional Education Center and is sponsored by the campus’s Henry W. Patton Center for Engineering Education and Practice.
A poster session will showcase collaborative projects of faculty and industry partners. The program also will include faculty project demonstrations, displays of industrial products and student displays.
Many collaborating companies and corporate sponsors will be represented at the event, including automotive OEMs, automotive suppliers and non-automotive companies.
