Byron Center resident Ronald A. House receives alumni award from UM-Dearborn

DEARBORN / July 26, 2007--- Ronald A. House, vice president and chief operating officer of Aspen Enterprises Ltd, received the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award from the School of Management at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in a ceremony this spring.
House is vice president and chief operating officer of Aspen Enterprises Ltd., in Grand Rapids. The company owns and operates manufactured housing communities in the United States. He earned his bachelorís degree at UM-Dearborn in 1966 and a masterís degree at U-M Ann Arbor in 1967.
House became a certified public accountant in 1970 while at Touche Ross & Co. Following a stop at Muir Drug Company, House was named vice president of finance at Centurion Flight Center in 1974, where he helped broker a deal to sell the company to a member of the Upjohn family. As vice president and treasurer at Curtis Systems, he was responsible for a $10-million group with locations across the globe. He joined Aspen in 1981. In his 25 years at Aspen, House has been involved in many aspects of their operations, including the structuring of more than 40 limited partnerships and as president of their affiliate Aspen Securities.
House is a resident of Byron Center.
