Northville resident Joseph Cepuran named Faculty Member of the Year by UM-Dearborn's Alumni Society

DEARBORN / July 3, 2007---Joseph Cepuran, associate professor of public administration at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, received the Faculty Member of the Year Award from the campusís Alumni Society in a ceremony this spring.
Cepuran began his teaching career at UM-Dearborn as an assistant professor of political science in 1974 and became associate professor of public administration in the School of Education in 1978. He served as coordinator of the campus's master of public administration program for many years and served as a member of the School of Educationís executive committee from 1992 to 1995 and from 1999 to 2000.
Cepuran earned a bachelorís degree in political science at the University of Omaha, a masterís degree in public administration at Florida State University and a doctoral degree in political science at the University of Iowa. Heís authored several books and articles and has served as chair of the Detroit chapter of the American Society for Public Administration.
Cepuran is a resident of Northville.
