Henry Ford Estate to offer walk on June 7 that showcase its gardens

DEARBORN / May 25, 2007---The Henry Ford Estate, a National Historic Landmark, will host an outdoor activity on June 7 that is designed to showcase the Estate’s gardens.
The Estate, which was home to the automotive pioneer and his wife, Clara, for more than 30 years, is located on the University of Michigan-Dearborn campus.
The Estate will present a Garden Walk beginning every hour between noon and 3 p.m. on June 7. For a cost of $8, participants can experience a docent-led garden tour of the Estate’s newly restored Early Rose Garden, Blue Garden, Iron Gates, Tea House, Riverwalk and Rock Garden/Boathouse area, as well as the Greenhouse with unique perennials, wildflowers, hanging baskets, stepping stones and garden art for sale. Reservations are not required for the walk.
The Estate’s Pool Restaurant will be open June 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations are appreciated for parties of 6 or more.
