Natural Sciences Scholarship Program
The University of Michigan-Dearborn Natural Sciences Scholarship Program promotes study and leadership in natural science and environmental interpretation, through experimental learning. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and have completed at least two semesters of full-time study, or four semesters of part-time study, at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. The application deadline is April 1, 2008.

Dearborn Herb Study Association Scholarship seeks to encourage superior academic achievement in Botany/Environmental Science or a related field. Applicants should show evidence of leadership skills, initiative, and possess high quality communication and interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to women applicants. Applicants must be majoring in Botany/Environmental Science or a related field.
Dearborn Herb Study Association Scholarship Application (pdf)
Garden Club of Dearborn Scholarship seeks to encourage study in an environmentally related field at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Applicants should show evidence of leadership skills, initiative, and possess high quality communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants must be majoring in Environmental Sciences or a related field.

Kenneth and Marian Parkhurst Natural Areas Fellowship is designed to provide experiential learning for a prospective leader in natural history and environmental interpretation. The fellow will work as a paid member of the natural areas staff and perform a variety of functions suitable to the support of the natural areas program. These activities will include interpretation of the natural history and ecological processes of the natural areas to visitors of all ages.
Kenneth and Marian Parkhurst Natural Areas Fellowship Application (pdf)
The fellow will be expected to work an average of 10 hours per week throughout the year and write a summary of his/her work and experiences at the end of the year. The fellowship will begin in the Fall Term and will provide $500.00 for Fall Term and $500 for Winter Term, to be applied to tuition and fees. - Applicants must show evidence of leadership skills, intiative, and possess high quality communication and interpersonal skills.
- Applicants may be enrolled in any concentration or program but will be expected to take courses appropriate to the understanding of natural history and the ecological processes of the natural area, and the development of interpretive and research skills.
- Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest and commitment to a life long pursuit of knowledge and discovery about the natural world.
