All grants listed require that a student complete a FAFSA and demonstrate financial need. There are no need-based grants for graduate students. All grants show the maximum award amounts for 2009-2010. Federal Pell Grant | Annual Award Amounts: $5350 U.S. Citizen/Eligible Non-Citizen: Yes Half-time Enrollment: Yes Michigan Residency: No Special Notes: Available only to students earning their first bachelor’s degree. | Federal Supplementary Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) | Annual Award Amounts: Up to $1000 U.S. Citizen/Eligible Non-Citizen: Yes Half-time Enrollment: Yes Michigan Residency: No Special Notes: Available to Pell Grant recipients with the lowest EFC and the highest need. | Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) | Annual Award Amounts: $750 - $1300 U.S. Citizen/Eligible Non-Citizen: Yes Half-time Enrollment: Yes Michigan Residency: No Special Notes: Must be a Pell Grant recipient.
