All scholarships are based on:

• a recalculated grade point average (eliminating non-college preparatory classes) for sophomore and junior years and
• the highest composite ACT score or the highest SAT score (total of Verbal and Math scores only)
  

All of the UM-Dearborn Scholarships can be renewed (4 year duration) and range from $2,000 annually to full-tuition (in-state rates) and select fees. If a student is eligible for more than one UM-Dearborn funded scholarship, the scholarship of greater value will be awarded. Students receiving UM-Dearborn funded scholarships may also be considered for endowed or donor scholarships.

Apply for Admission by December 15, 2012 for the 2013-2014 academic year, and be instantly eligible for scholarship consideration.

Chancellor’s Scholarship

(each award valued at approximately $46,000 over four years)
The Chancellor’s Scholarship awards a full-tuition scholarship for up to four years.

Minimum Requirements:

• Recalculated grade point average of 4.0 or higher at the time of admission
• ACT composite of 31* or SAT score of 1380* or higher (highest test score used)
• SAT score is based on total of Verbal and Math scores only
• Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and meet Michigan residency requirements for in-state tuition

Only ACT/SAT scores from tests taken through November of the senior year can be used for Chancellor’s Scholarship eligibility.

Scholarship renewal is subject to an annual review. Recipients are required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and maintain a minimum of half-time enrollment.

Dean’s Scholarship

(each award valued at $12,000 over four years)
The Dean’s Scholarship awards an annual scholarship of $3,000 for up to four years.

Minimum Requirements:

• Recalculated grade point average of 3.7 or higher at the time of admission
• ACT composite of 27 or SAT  score of 1220 or higher (highest test score used)
• SAT score is based on total of Verbal and Math scores only
• Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and meet Michigan residency requirements for in-state tuition

Scholarship renewal is subject to an annual review. Recipients are required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and maintain a minimum of half-time enrollment.

Maize & Blue Scholarship

(each award valued at $8,000 over four years)
The Maize & Blue Scholarship awards an annual scholarship of $2,000 for up to four years.

Minimum Requirements:

• Recalculated grade point average of 3.5 or higher at the time of admission
• ACT composite of 25 or SAT score of 1150 or higher (highest test score used)
• SAT score is based on total of Verbal and Math scores only
• Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and meet Michigan residency requirements for in-state tuition

Scholarship renewal is subject to an annual review. Recipients are required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and maintain a minimum of half-time enrollment.

University of Michigan-Dearborn Opportunity Scholarship

(each award valued at $8,000 or Full Tuition)
The University of Michigan-Dearborn Opportunity Scholarship awards an annual scholarship of $2,000 for up to four years.  Among the scholarship recipients, 12 students will be selected to receive a renewable full-tuition and select fees scholarship. All Opportunity Scholarship recipients will be invited to compete for the full tuition awards. Scholarship renewal is subject to an annual review. Recipients are required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and maintain a minimum of half-time enrollment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be admissible to the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
• High school seniors admitted with a minimum recalculated GPA of 3.0 at the time of admission.
• Students must be enrolled in a public high school in school districts with an economic disadvantaged status of 70% or greater as recognized by the State of Michigan (details on www.michigan.gov/cepi) from the counties of Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw, or Wayne. Students enrolled in charter schools located within the geographic location of these districts are also included.
• Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and meet Michigan residency requirements for in-state tuition.
• Students are still eligible to receive the Chancellor's or Dean's scholarships as well as interview for one of the 12 Full Tuition Opportunity Scholarships.

Prior year scholarship recipients should refer to their scholarship contract to verify the specifics of their terms and conditions of award.

All Opportunity Scholarship recipients admitted by January 15 will be invited to interview for the full tuition awards.
