Biography

Since 2008, Cyndi McAuliffe has taught full time in the Pre-k/Kindergarten classroom, ages 4.5 to 6. She began her teaching career with preschool children in 2000, in a 4-year-old classroom in Birmingham, MI. Cyndi graduated from UM-Dearborn in 2008 with a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education including minors in Language Arts and Math and Elementary Education certification. She completed several of her practicums at the Early Childhood Education Center as an undergraduate. Presently, Cyndi is in the Masters program at UM-Dearborn working toward her Masters of Arts in Education with a focus in reading and linguistics.

On the personal side, Cyndi and her husband have two grown daughters; one works on a ranch in Nebraska after having earned her Animal Science degree and the other attends culinary school in New York. Traveling to visit their girls and hiking everywhere in between, along with walking the family dog, keep the McAuliffes on the go.
