"Brewster's" Warblers
banded at the Rouge River Bird Observatory

This bird was banded on 6 May 2004.  It is rather atypical, as it had white rather than yellow
wing bars, a whitish rather than yellow throat, and a white rather than yellow underbelly.  The
back had only a tinge of green.  Contrast with a more typical "Brewster's" Warbler below.



This male was banded on 5 May 2002 at RRBO.  This appears to be a first-generation hybrid
of a Blue-winged and Golden-winged Warbler.  After release, two birds singing a Blue-winged
song were heard in the vicinity.

For comparison, here is a male Blue-winged Warbler banded the same day.
