Community Organic Garden
The Community Organic Garden exists to encourage an appreciation of gardening. It is not only a display, but an invitation for you to come and be a part of the community, to work with your hands, to interact with others from the area, and to contribute your ideas and thoughts. The collective handiwork of its participants inspires all who have contact with the garden. The garden includes vegetable plots for rent, volunteer-managed theme gardens, and an handicap-accessible garden. New plots are available at the garden for a fee of $15.00 for the growing season. Most plots are about 20' x 20' in size. To reserve a plot, call Rick Sirnek at (313) 593-5338. Many plots are reserved by March 15 of each year, so call early! We have wonderful children's gardening programs!
