  • Common Name: Burrowing Water Beetle
  • Time of Year Found: Both the larva and the adults are found in the summer
  • Size of Mature Larva and Adult: 5mm
  • Habitat: Submergent vegetation at the bottom of the pond
  • Other Information: Both the larva and adult are extremely fast and must be chilled before they can be viewed under a stereoscope
