Eyewitness report from His Eminence, the Metropolitan
of Ephesus, Chrysostomos Hatgistavrou, to the Ecumenical Patriarch, Meletios
IV, in Constantinople concerning the destruction of Smyrna. Bishop Chrysostomos
was visiting Smyrna at the time, and wrote the report after arranging for temporary help for refugees from the massacre.
