Prescription Drugs
- Prescription drugs are covered at 90%. If you purchase the medication at any Aetna Pharmacy Management participating pharmacy, you will only be required to pay 10% at the time you buy your medication.
- Simply show your current International Insurance ID card to the pharmacist and they will bill Aetna directly, asking you only for 10 percent of the cost. If for any reason your card is not accepted by the pharmacist, you will need to pay the entire amount and then submit a prescription drug claim.
- If you purchase medication at a pharmacy other than an Aetna Pharmacy Management participating pharmacy -- or the pharmacist cannot see your enrollment in Aetna Pharmacy Management -- you will need to pay the entire amount and then submit a claim.
