OxFam America is a global organization working to right the wrongs of poverty, hunger and injustice. UM-Dearborn, in partnership with OxFam is hosting an OxFam America Hunger Banquet! Join us. The dinner will be free -- and will raise awareness about serious hunger issues around the world!

The CIViC is starting a new service and leadership program called the Community Change Corp (C3) and you can become a founding member!! C3 members will be trained on how to lead service projects on behalf of the CIViC. After a four hour training, C3 members will be in a pool of site leadedrs, ready to serve! House of Maize and Blue, Union at Dearborn
The CIViC is proud to announce the development of the first ever SOUP Dearborn, to be held on November 20, 2013 at 5 PM in the House of Maize and Blue in the Union at Dearborn. This program will provide a free SOUP meal (for the introductory SOUP program only), followed by an opportunity to contribute a worthy cause, which will be presented to all attendees at the dinner! Join us for community, breaking bread, and making a difference!

During the Winter semester of each year, The CIVic hosts a poverty simulation two-day event that welcomes UM-Dearborn to have an experiential learning opportunity related to poverty. This opportunity, part of a nation-wide initiative, allows students to experience first hand the challenges that many others face as they struggle with poverty.
