What We Do
The Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs, who functions as a senior officer of the University, reports directly to the Chancellor and is responsible for seven units that comprise Business Affairs:
- Environmental Health and Safety
- Facilities Management
- Facilities Planning
- Financial, Budget & General Services
- Henry Ford Estate
- Human Resources
- Public Safety

The Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs also has Delegation of Signature Authority for a number of documents and contracts including lease of outside facilities and commitments to environmental health and safety programs.

Business Affairs Mission Statement: The mission of Business Affairs is to support the educational enterprise through quality management of the financial, human and physical resources of the University including the Henry Ford Estate, a National Historic Landmark.
