February 11, 2009 :: Siena Heights University
Dearborn, MI - On Wednesday evening the Wolves women's basketball team said goodbye to seniors Chanel Bridges and Chelsea Acho and gave the two of them what they wanted most: another conference win. The Wolves (15-10, 2-9) downed the Saints of Siena Heights University (10-17, 4-7) 69-68 in a thrilling senior night game. The Wolves jumped out to an early 14-3 lead. The Saints would pull within one point just past the midpoint of the first half, but junior Nicole Macleod would score 6 points in the last 4 minutes of the half to give the Wolves a 34-27 lead at the half. Robinet would sink both free throws and the Saints last second shot missed sealing the 69-68 win for the Wolves. Robinet led all scorers with 15 points.
