Dearborn, MI - Michigan - Dearborn (4-4, 4-2) would take the field on Sunday against another conference opponent in Concordia University (0-8, 0-6) and would look sharp. The Lady Wolves would bring the bats to play on what was a beautiful early Spring day, sweeping the Cardinals of Concordia in two back to back mercies.
Julie Glowiak would take the mound for the Wolves in the first game and look sharp only giving up a single hit all game. After Glowiak mowed down the top of the Concordia line up, Taylor Janus would crush an offering from Cardinals Pitcher Laura Brabaw over the fence and give the Wolves a 1-0 lead. Glowiak would continue to look sharp all game and the bats would keep the offense coming as Janus would knock another out of the park, making it two for the day. It would not be the last home run by the Lady Wolves though, Kady Cooper and Mackenzie Irvine would both go deep for the Michigan - Dearborn and bring the mercy rule into effect. At the end of 5 Innings Michigan - Dearborn (3-4, 3-2) would walk away with a 8-0 win over Concordia (0-7, 0-5). Glowiak would pick up her second win of the year in the victory.
The second game would see the Lady Wolves pick up right where they left off, bats blazing and pitch hot. Stephanie Miller would be called upon to take the mound in the second game and finish off the Cardinals. The Lady Wolves would build a 3-0 lead after two innings of play, but it would be the 4th inning where they would do their damage. Claudy would walk several UMD batters and not be able to control her pitches, allowing the Lady Wolves to push across 9 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. Stephanie Miller would quick work of the Concordia batters in the top of the 5th and end the day picking up her second win. Michigan - Dearborn (4-4, 4-2) would beat Concordia (0-8, 0-6) by the final score of 12-0.
