Shanelle Jackson, '03 CASL
Shanelle Jackson is a 2003 graduate from the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters. She is entering her third term in the Michigan House of Representatives, where she serves as associate speaker pro tempore. Shanelle is the youngest woman of color to serve in the state legislature in Michigan’s history. She is currently the executive vice chair of the Michigan Legislative Black Caucus. Shanelle is also the co-founder of the Empowerment Fund, an organization that outreaches and supports young females.
