Parents play an important role in their student’s continued development regardless of their physical location. You, more than any other individual, will be a witness to your son or daughter’s joys, frustrations and individual challenges as they go through their college years. Parent orientation is designed to help ease your mind.
What to expect
Parent Orientation will introduce parents to the University of Michigan-Dearborn to assist in preparing them for the adjustments, challenges and new demands you and your student will go through as a result of attending the University. We strongly encourage all parents of new incoming students to participate in this program. During the program, parents will be able to: - Address concerns about college life
- Talk with Academic Advisors and Orientation Leaders
- Ask questions about student life, financial aid and other student services available
All Parent Orientation dates have now passed. If you were unable to attend and have questions, please contact the Office of Admissions and Orientation at 313-593-5100.
