Annual Activities

Black Celebratory: An annual event created by the Affiliate to celebrate the university's African American graduates. It allows the graduates, their family and peers, as well as faculty and staff to reflect on the accomplishments of graduates and their contributions to the community.

Opportunity Scholarship Interviews: The Opportunity Scholarship, coordinated through the Office of Admissions and Orientation, was created to provide financial assistance to incoming students. Affiliate members meet with students and their families during the interview process and answer questions about their time on campus.

Soul of Success Retreat: An annual retreat designed by the African & African-American Studies program, that provides a weekend of personal and professional development seminars to the University's African American students. The affiliate works with the program to create a consistent alumni presence at the retreat.
