The John Monteith Legacy Society

John Monteith (1787-1868) was a founding father and president of the institution that became the University of Michigan. Monteith and other University founders had a vision for a great educational system that is shared today by members of the John Monteith Legacy Society. Donors who support the University with an estate plan gift provide the foundation for academic excellence in years to come. Through their generosity, Monteith Society members demonstrate very clearly how one generation can help the next.
