Stewardship and Recognition
Whether you are alumni, friend of UM-Dearborn or from a foundation or corporation, your support is vital to our campus community. Your gift allows us to recruit leading faculty members, invest in the latest technology and state-of-the-art equipment, support student scholarships, and fund innovative ideas.
The Office of Institutional Advancement is responsible for communicating to donors the impact of their gifts. We adhere to the standards described in the University Donor Bill of Rights, and ensure that the information about your gift is appropriately reported, and, if desired, publicly recognized.
Gift Acknowledgments
All donations to the University of Michigan-Dearborn are recognized quickly and accurately. A tax receipt is sent out to all donors upon receiving a gift followed by acknowledgment letters sent by various faculty and staff within the university, depending on the type of gift and level of giving.
Donor Recognition
The University of Michigan-Dearborn recognizes the generosity of its donors in many ways including gift programs, personal visits, individual invitations to campus, and special events. Donor gifts are also acknowledged in donor publications, including the alumni magazine, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor publications, outside and/or local media outlets, and the University of Michigan-Dearborn website.
